In the spring of 2024, 22 young people met with Theatre NIE for theatre rehearsals at ARCHA+. We met to capture the pulse of the present. The group of performers is a cross-section of the society we live in now, with as many themes as there are people.

The times we live in are characterized by incredible progress and great challenges: from artificial intelligence to renewable energy, from private space flight to biotechnology, the possibilities seem endless...

At the same time, we face pressing global issues such as climate change, political instability and social inequality. These challenges remind us every day how fragile our existence is and how important collective action is to address them. But how?

We all struggle for a full place in society, we all want to belong somewhere, but through this common desire we automatically create our own community in which we can feel safe. Insecure safety zones are also real...

Our biggest dreams propel us forward, inspiring us to strive for something bigger than ourselves. Our dreams give us purpose and an inner fire.

Intertwined with our dreams are our deepest fears - fear of failure, rejection and loss. Fear of the future. These fears also hold us back, holding us back from accepting life as it is, woven of all the horrors and beauties.

But in the face of uncertainty, it is possible to find strength. We can adapt and overcome them by constantly examining our inner resources and with the support of others. How we can dream, face our fears and find meaning in the chaos defines our journey through the times we live in. We didn't choose that time, but we are living that time, we need to experience it and probably mend it too.

When we are separated into one and one and one, then we can be a place to be together.
