Feel the feeling

theatre concert
Based on the Book of Feelings by the writer Ester Stará and the musical manuscript by the composer Beata Hlavenková, this musical theatre performance is about emotions that are an integral part of human life. It premiered to great acclaim at the Strings for Children 2024 festival.

Have you ever been afraid of your own shadow, exploded with rage or jumped for joy and fallen head over heels in love? Then it's all right. Feelings are a part of us, big or small.

The performance deals with feelings and emotions that are an integral part of human life, whether it is fear, anger, disgust, joy or love. It focuses on the meaning of emotions and how to recognise them, which is the first step towards understanding them. Emotional experience is common to both children and adults, and this performance brings this world closer to all ages.

"Have you also ever been afraid of your own shadow, banged like a papoose in anger, turned your stomach in disgust, or jumped for joy and fallen head over heels in love? Then all is well. Feelings are a part of us, big or small. But we don't always understand exactly what they're telling us. But the first step on the road to understanding them is to allow ourselves to have them all. Fear, anger, interest, courage, joy, boredom, jealousy, love, disgust, trepidation, peace..."
