Divadlo Husa na provázku:
From the Sexual Life of Our People
Karel Jaromír Erben collected fairy tales, while Karel Jaroslav Obrátil collected dirty tales. And there were plenty of them in the history of the Czech village. Sex not only sells, but it also belongs to our basic instincts. And it has always been that way. Yet it remains a social taboo. We are outraged by an artist performing naked in front of children. We consider nudist beaches a German perversion. Even Adam and Eve had their genitals covered with laurel leaves. We've experienced the sexual revolution, the rise of Tinder and OnlyFans; polyamory isn't the biggest shocker anymore. We may no longer sing dirty folk songs together, but we lock ourselves into virtual dating apps with all sorts of specializations. So why is someone's sexual orientation or preference still a reason for social exclusion? Why do we feel ashamed of our instincts when it's because of them that we all exist in the world? We invite you to the opening of our relationship with sexuality, where we will collectively unveil a unique work of art—our own shame.
On the day of the performance there will be a discussion "Art, queer, fabulous" from 18:00 in the ARCHA+ café. There will be a Provázek.lounge in the foyer for the whole time.
