Malá inventura:
Fortune-telling

Malá inventura café free entry
You have your suspicions? And could we see it? Suspicion is a signal that something needs attention. Suspicion is a signal that something needs to be looked at.

Come to the divination corner and ask a question. Take your time. Enter into a dialogue with the cards, with the oracle and above all with yourself and your own wishes and solutions. Trust the process. Listen (to yourself). See which tucked-away memory rises to the surface, which motif gains significance, which hint of a possible next direction resonates most with you. See divination as a game. And be attentive.

Jakub Šulík, a scenographer, visual artist, musician, author and performer, will offer a meeting with his original fortune-telling card set, which was created at DAMU as part of his master’s thesis on decision-making in the artistic process. The author himself consults with it both dilemmas in the creative process and all kinds of other work and life situations.

You don’t know what you want?
Never mind! Just pull out your card and you might remember something.

Each card carries a visual and textual impulse that can create unexpected connections, help navigate uncertainty or open up new questions.

Come and have your cards dealt and maybe you’ll run out of something!

Playwright, director, musician, performer and cultural anthropologist Boris Jedinák will offer a meeting with the Book of Changes (I-ťing).

Eight trigrams as eight combinations of triplets of solid and broken lines.
Permanent variability of opposing elements.
Heaven, earth, water, mountain… and the suspicion that everything could always be different.

The key is to formulate the question, then just open up the conversation, and accept that with every answer comes another question.
