Choreographic workshop CLOUDS with Věra Ondrašíková

ARCHA+U dance workshop
Learn the basics of creating a dance production under the guidance of Vera Ondrašíková, a leading choreographer of the contemporary dance scene.

During the intensive choreographic workshop you will encounter the basics of creating a dance production and develop your own movement possibilities. As a team and individually, you will gain insight into the principles of choreography, try out different techniques and together we will go through the creative process from brainstorming to the actual performance.

The workshop offers a glimpse into the creative process and inspirational sources of the authors of the CLOUDS production, to which it is thematically linked. CLOUDS focuses on interpersonal relationships and the relationship we have with ourselves. The workshop will be led by choreographer and author of the production Věra Ondrašíková together with dramaturge Daniel Iemole. In case of interest and mutual satisfaction there is a possibility of further cooperation with the ensemble.

The workshop is designed for boys and girls aged 12+ with an interest in contemporary dance, non-verbal theatre and the creative process with basic dance experience.

The workshop takes place over two weekends at Studio Zlatnická, at Zlatnická No. 8:

Věra Ondrasšíková
Věra graduated from an art high school and then studied choreography at the HAMU in Prague. She is the author of a number of successful projects Guide (2015), Witness (2021), CLOUDS (2024). The production Guide won the Audience Award, the Lighting Design Award and the Dancer of the Year Award at the Czech Dance Platform Festival 2016, was included in the selection of 20 most interesting European dance projects within the international Aerowaves network in 2017 and has since been performed at many international festivals. She currently teaches choreography at the Department of Dance and Movement Technique at the Department of Nonverbal Theatre at HAMU. In 2022 she founded the company Věra Ondrašíková & kolektiv.

Daniele Iemolo
Daniel has been dancing since he was 9 years old. He studied with choreographers Robert Zappal and Emma Scialfa. He then moved to England where he studied dance at Rambert School and The Place. As a dancer he has worked with many choreographers such as Paula Pinto (Portugal), Mimmo Miccolis (UK), Dorian Mallia (Malta), Monica Casadei (Italy) etc. Since 2022, he has been collaborating with Vera Ondrasikova & col., firstly with the STORIES project and now with the CLOUDS project. He studies dramaturgy at the University of Genoa.
