Launch of the Atlas Podhoubí
The Atlas Podhoubí provides various insights into the tendencies of Czech and international theatre as captured between May 6, 2021 and 2024 on the Podhoubí blog. The editor and founder of the site, Barbora Etlíková, has carefully selected and annotated excerpts from the articles and interviews and now puts them in context with her brief comments. The condensed fly-through of the platform's activity imaginatively concludes one stage of its development and at the same time is a gift for its third anniversary.
Debate for the launch of Atlas Podhoubí: Art on the Edge, Thinking the Boundry.
Moderated by Alice Koubová.
Guests: Kryštof Kočtář and Ondřej Macl.
Balancing precariously on the edges of different worlds and inhabiting the interfaces that can be discovered through this movement are among the artistic and thinking strategies that are close to the Podhoubí. The aim of these excursions is to sift out normality, to air it or disrupt it, perhaps even to try to go against the invisible that contributes significantly to what we experience as normal on a daily basis. A discussion of possible movements between the world above the surface and the world below, between artistic genres, between reality and fantasy, between life and death, between here and forever, between the profane and the sacred.
The debate will be followed by a theatre-themed Kahoot, prepared by the blog section of the Podhoubí of the Spora, with prizes up for grabs.
At the event: You can purchase the Atlas of the Underworld for 350 CZK and up.
