dissplay workshop

dance workshop
Would you like to have a glimpse into the process of creating a dance-theatre performance? The two-day workshop with Jitka Sara Páníková and Tereza Lenerová invites everyone who wants to create, explore, share and have some fun with the digital ecosystem that surrounds us.

We grow up online - but can we be offline? How much of ourselves are we when we are constantly being watched? Every post, every story, every photo... The world has turned into a parade of our best versions - but what's going on underneath it all? Dissplay is a dance ride inspired by Jitka and Tereza's own experience with the pressure to be seen, to be interesting, to be "somebody" - and yet not lose yourself. The workshop will give you a glimpse into the process of creating this production, while becoming a space where you can create alongside them.

You will dance, speak, improvise, work with everyday reality (and your mobile phone), but most of all, ask yourself an honest question: who are we when we stop wanting to fit in for a moment?

Let's take a break from evaluation, expectations and the pressure to be perfect. We might find that when we allow ourselves to be awkward, it starts to feel really liberating. And that even the world around us can be beautifully absurd - if we allow ourselves to see it.

This workshop is for young people aged 14+ with an interest in contemporary dance and theatre. Previous dance and theatre experience is an advantage, not a requirement.

The workshop is held twice on two weekend dates at the Small Hall in the ARCHA+ cultural space.

1) 3. 5., 10.00-18.00 a 4. 5., 10.00-17.00.
2) 10. 5., 10.00-18.00 a 11. 5., 10.00-17.00.

It is possible to sign up for both weekends, but also for one

Recommended age: 14+
