OTO MOTO – Minister Klempíř’s Unpredictable Journeys

III-rd space free entry discussion KAFE+
FFO: as unstable as the soundtrack to *Rafťáci*

Amid the gradual destruction of the cultural landscape, we have some questions. What has driven the current minister, Oto Klempíř, to hate culture so much that he has gone from setting fire to portraits of Andrej Babiš to serving as Petr Macinka’s prosecco-holding prop? Does the answer lie in the poems where, out of fear of Lenin, he is forced to kiss apple trees? Does he want to bring Czech Television under state control because he was scandalously not invited to appear on StarDance?

Minister Klempíř’s automotive journeys are truly inscrutable. The chronically online duo Anna Koucká (Page Not Found) and Timon Láska (Vogue CS, Deník Alarm) have no intention of separating the author from the art. They take a close look at the engine of Ot’s (pre-)ministerial journey. Join them to find out if the Czech radio staple “On My Head” is actually a requiem for Klempíř’s hair, and whether the lyrics “Boys from JAR, That’s the elite / Every Lolita craves them” are strong enough material to get him ousted from the government.

The Third Space program brings all areas of ARCHA+ to life, except for the Large Hall. The name itself is based on the sociological concept of third places, which describes spaces between home, school, or work where people meet and spend their free time. More information can be found here.
