Orin Rodriguez, Kirikou Gueye: Titty Killer
In Titty Killer’s fantastical story, we are left to guess where lies fiction and where its real inspiration. While they play with the idea of what it means to be trans* and how gender affects all of us, we feel that beneath their struggle with gender dysphoria lies a deeper anguish that goes beyond medical definition of mental or physical discomfort. In their sound and theatre performance, Kirikou Gueye and Orin Rodriguez want to find the answer to how can we, through the neverending process of becoming our-selves, also become good people.
Based on a True Story is an international arts project that brings together three cultural organizations from Central Europe—ARCHA+ (Czech Republic), Komuna Warszawa (Poland), and Projekt Batyskaf (Slovakia). Its goal is to support and implement the curatorial concept by young theater artists Adam Dragun (SK/CZ) and Olga Ciężkowska (PL), titled Based on a True Story. The project focuses on contemporary theater and performance practices that employ documentary approaches and research-based artistic processes. More information can be found here.

Kirikou Gueye
are based in Vienna, working in the fields of interdisciplinary art, sound design, sound engineering, DJing and community organising. Since 2017, their practice has focused on connecting music and the performing arts, as well as on interdisciplinary and politically engaged projects. In their work, they draw on postcolonial studies, an interest in natural and cultural ecology, and the ability to conceptualise radical and visionary futures in response to contemporary social developments. They have extensive experience in creating sound design for productions, providing technical support for cultural events, and teaching.
Orin Rodriguez
work as a performer, theatre dramaturg and playwright, focusing in their work on collectivity, storytelling and the principles of play. They often tackle complex themes, which they examine through the lens of play and playfulness with the aim of discovering new perspectives. Their work is politically engaged, stemming both from their personal background as a queer trans* activist and from the creative approaches through which they challenge the established order. They are a graduate of the University of Glasgow and completed their master’s degree at DAMU in Prague in 2022. As performers, they have appeared at numerous festivals and cultural venues across Europe.
