Archive
Over the course of three decades, Archive has built a unique reputation through the constant blending of trip-hop, art rock, electronic pop, and neo-prog. Since the release of their debut album *Londinium* (1996), the band has undergone a series of transformations. Key milestones include the successful album *Take My Head* with its iconic track “You Make Me Feel,” the sixteen-minute epic “Again” from the album *You All Look the Same to Me* (2002), and the *Controlling Crowds* recordings, which responded to the war in Iraq. Characteristic elements of the band’s work, led by founders Darius Keeler and Danny Griffiths, include intricate compositions, a rotation of diverse vocalists, and a constant pushing of sonic boundaries.
Thirty years after their formation, Archive returns with their fourteenth studio album, *Not in My Name*, created in the spirit of protest and anger during turbulent times. The album, dominated by socially conscious lyrics as well as a return to their rap roots and emotional ballads, confirms that the band is in the strongest creative form of their career. Their music resonates with fans around the world—from packed European arenas to protest marches in Iran.
