Game launch – Andre miri cipa / In my skin
Vanessa is being judged for the way she dresses. Robin is being watched by security at the cash register just because he’s Roma. Marie and her family are looking for an apartment, but the landlord turns them down as soon as he sees them. The play *Andre miri cipa / In My Skin* puts you in the shoes of three young Romani men and women and shows what racism looks like in everyday life in the Czech Republic. All the stories are based on the real-life experiences of actual people.
The game was created by a team of Romani and non-Romani artists and researchers from universities in Brno. It is fully voiced; the Romani characters are voiced by Romani actors and actresses, and Romani is also spoken in the dialogue. You can download it for free on Steam (PC/Mac) and, starting October 29, on your phone via the App Store and Google Play.
The Prague presentation of the game will take place on Wednesday, November 18, at 7:30 p.m. at ARCHA+. It will be followed by a discussion with the creative team. Learn more about the game at andremiricipa.ffa.vutbr.cz.
KAFE+
The Third Space program brings all areas of ARCHA+ to life, except for the Large Hall. The name itself is based on the sociological concept of third places, which describes spaces between home, school, or work where people meet and spend their free time. More information can be found here.
