Voices of Migration
Prepare for a groundbreaking event that will shake your perceptions of migration! ARCHA+, in collaboration with the Czech office of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), invites you to the inaugural edition of the festival "Voices of Migration," taking place on December 4, 2024.
This innovative festival aims to break stereotypes and present migration as a natural part of our society. To look beyond clichés and prejudices, don’t miss this unique opportunity. The festival will offer a diverse program that combines intellectual stimulation with artistic expression:
- A panel discussion moderated by Tomáš Lindner from the weekly magazine Respekt, featuring journalist Fatima Rahimi, Pavel Bacík from the public administration, and academic Josef Novotný, promises insightful perspectives on current migration topics.
- An exclusive podcast will provide a glimpse into the lives of the younger generation with migration experiences.
- The evening will be spiced up with stand up comedy by Alisher Nurakhmetov and a slam poetry performance by Tukan and Tim Postovito, offering a fresh perspective on the migration experience.
- The conclusion will feature a concert and DJ set that will keep participants dancing late into the night.
The festival is not just about theoretical debates – it is a living platform where people with direct migration experiences come together to share their stories. Come discover new perspectives, challenge ingrained notions, and be part of an open dialogue that shapes the future of our society.
People come to the Czech Republic for work, family, safety, or new opportunities, just as Czechs leave for abroad. Through the Voices of Migration event, we aim to open up the debate on migration in our society and enhance its understanding.
