You Me At Six
The British band consisting of Josh Franceschi (vocals), Max Helyer (guitar), Chris Miller (guitar), Matt Barnes (bass) and Dan Flint (drums) came up with their last album "Truth Decay", after which they decided to call it quits to pay tribute to themselves and their long career. "We do best when all five of us are on the front line, living it and breathing it, all five of us moving and putting our creativity into the music," Franceschi says. "That's what you can expect from Truth Decay." Toward the end of their career, the band realized that if they wanted to make the best punk-pop-rock record of their career, they had to be as emotionally honest as possible and face the pain head-on. That's also why the band decided to call the album Truth Decay. "It's an understanding and acceptance that there's beauty in decay," Franceschi explains. "Sometimes something can seem so obvious and clear, but in reality, when you look at things from a distance, you realize that nothing is as simple as you thought." It's a theme that runs throughout the record - the question of truth, its distortion and manipulation.
You Me At Six have toured extensively, including appearances on the Warped Tour, Soundwave and shows with bands such as Thirty Seconds to Mars, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, All Time Low and Bring Me the Horizon. Their inspirations include American rock bands blink-182, Incubus, Thrice and British rock band Arctic Monkeys. During their career, they have won the award for Best British Band at Kerrang! Czech fans may well remember You Me At Six from the Rock for People festival or their Prague solo concerts that took place during the band's twenty-year era.
