ARCHA+U:
The Sound of Your Self

ARCHA+U workshop
During the voice workshop we will demonstrate how to work with the instrument closest to humanity - our own voice. The improvisation workshop will allow us to experiment with new techniques, explore unexpected ways of using the voice and develop its natural abilities.

We will play together with different voice positions, trying their effect from ordinary communication to theatrical singing. And we will also look at different voice colours and try to get closer to famous music stars!

We'll also look at improvisation and how music that isn't written in sheet music is actually created. What is it like to be inside a musical improvisation ensemble and what is it like to be a listener? Improvisation isn't just a wild game that has no direction or purpose, it's a team game and an art.

The workshop is suitable for people with no experience as well as more experienced vocalists.

Venue: the "ceiling" of the Small Hall
Length: 120 minutes.
Recommended age: 15+
