Workshop Quick-puppet-theatre

ARCHA+U theatre workshop EN friendly puppets Tickets
Attend a  rkshop with the FRAS theatre group, where you will create your own puppet show in four sessions. Under the guidance of professional creators, you will experience the whole process – creation of the theme, making of unconventional puppets, sound recording and the production itself.

In the first part we will focus on the creation of a short script. Then we will make scenographic elements and puppets from various found materials. The next part will be devoted to the creation of the sound and music component of the production.

The whole programme will take place in the studio in Zlatnická Street No. 8:
Sat 22 03, Fri 04 04 Sun 13 04 and Fri 25 04

The end of the workshop will be devoted to rehearsals and final editing of the productions. The whole process will culminate in a presentation for the invited guests.

1. Preparing your own story
A series of dramaturgical exercises aimed at creating a short story for a forthcoming production of about 10 minutes. This part is approximately 3 hours long. The second part of about one hour will be devoted to the preparation of the artwork.

2. The production of puppets and scenographic elements from found materials.
In this part, under the guidance of two stage designers, we will create the necessary objects for the prepared stories. Participants can bring their own materials which they can then use or exchange for others. Found objects are very suggestive and helpful for puppet making because they can inspire unexpectedly.

3. Creating sound and music for the production.
In this part of the workshop we will focus on the production of a short soundtrack for the production. The other groups not working on sound at the moment will work on the first phase of rehearsal under the guidance of the actors.

4. Rehearsing the productions.
Exceptionally, this part will have 5 hours of rehearsal instead of 4, and the final hour will be devoted to a public presentation of the productions to family and friends.
