ARCHA+U: Choreographic workshop CLOUDS with Věra Ondrašíková

Learn the basics of creating a dance production under the guidance of leading choreographer of the contemporary dance scene Věra Ondrašíková and dramaturge and dancer Daniel Iemolo.

During the intensive choreographic workshop you will meet the basics of creating a dance production, develop your own movement possibilities and work individually and in a team. Together we will look into the principles of choreography, try out different techniques and go through the creative process from brainstorming to the actual performance. We will draw on the themes and inspiration of CLOUDS, which deals with peer relationships, self-acceptance, appearance criticism and more. We will also draw on our own experiences and experiences. 

This workshop is for teenagers with at least two years of dance experience (classical, contemporary, break-dance) or circus between the ages of 11- 15.  One of the criteria is an interest in contemporary dance and the creative process.

Věra Ondrašíková
She graduated from the art high school and then studied choreography at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts. She is the author of a number of successful projects Guide (2015), Witness (2021), CLOUDS (2024). The production Guide won the Audience Award, the Lighting Design Award and the Dancer of the Year Award at the Czech Dance Platform Festival 2016, was included in the selection of 20 most interesting European dance projects within the international Aerowaves network in 2017 and has since been performed at many international festivals. She currently teaches choreography at the Department of Dance and Movement Technique at the Department of Nonverbal Theatre at HAMU. In 2022 she founded the company Věra Ondrašíková & kolektiv.

Daniele Iemolo
Daniel studied with choreographers Robert Zappal and Emma Scialfa. He then moved to England where he studied dance at the Rambert School and The Place. As a dancer he has worked with many choreographers such as Paula Pinto (Portugal), Mimmo Miccolis (UK), Dorian Mallia (Malta), Monica Casadei (Italy) etc. Since 2022 he has been collaborating with the ensemble Věra Ondrašíková & kol. First he participated in the STORIES project and now he is also involved in the CLOUDS project. He studies dramaturgy at the University of Genoa. He works as a dancer, dramaturge and lecturer.

2 days,  Sat + Sun 10.00 - 13.00, presentation on Sunday at 13:00.Total 7 hours including presentation and reflection after the workshop.
